Even worse, the agents can “share copies of the laptop’s contents” with other people for a variety of reasons. These two facts are already pretty bad (goodbye privacy, visitors to the US). hp-mini-note-2133.jpg
It’s clear that HP has a winner here. Despite being no larger than a large hardbound book, the HP Mini-Note 2133 is a fully functional PC that blends the line between ultra-portable and laptop.
For some reason, HP managed to cram in a bright 8.9″ 1280 x 768 display, a semi-full-size keyboard that’s still a pleasure to type on, and loud speakers that read more »

Thanks for the excuse John! (Click on pic for full-version)

Electronics manufacturer Hoshino has just announced "the world's first biodegradable USB disk." It's constructed of the corn-based plastic polylactide, and just in case you forget that fact, they've shaped the drive like an ear of corn. We don't have a lot of information on the device, but it appears they've figured out how to make the entire drive biodegradable read more »

Tests conducted for the UK's Times Online have concluded that the new high-tech e-passports being distributed around the world can be hacked and cloned within minutes. A computer researcher proved it by cloning the chips in two British passports and then implanting digital images of Osama bin Laden and a suicide bomber. Both passports passed as genuine by UN app read more »

Sure we like the design, but we love that despite the muddy, spontaneous pewter finish of this homemade Gears of War Xbox 360, the creator very carefully negotiated all of the Xbox's machined ventilation holes. All-in-all, it's a pretty decent-looking mod, and those red lights are actually pretty quite when they're not signaling a melted 360. galleryPost("gowxbox360", read more »
